“Anthomania Continues” is the next chapter in Christina Peters’ photographic exploration of floral still life as visual poetry. Building on her earlier work, Christina continues to draw inspiration from Dutch painting, sourcing flowers from U.S. farms and nurturing each bloom to reach its peak in unison. Her compositions are thoughtfully constructed in-studio using antique props, traditional composition, and controlled lighting. All work is created in-camera, with Photoshop used only for light retouching and print preparation.

This series invites viewers to pause, linger, and reconnect. Christina hopes these images offer a sense of renewal and fresh energy, celebrating the beauty of spring while continuing her exploration of floral portraiture, memory, and the emotional resonance of fleeting natural beauty.

Opening night is Friday April 26th, 2026 from 5-8pm as part of the 4th Fridays events in New Castle.

The exhibition is on view at Zollies Jazz Cucina, a standout culinary destination in the heart of Historic New Castle. Known for its vibrant fusion of SWANA, West Indian, and American Southern cuisine, Zollie’s offers a warm and welcoming setting where culture, creativity, and community come together. Surrounded by thoughtfully crafted dishes and a rich blend of flavors, the artwork becomes part of a larger sensory experience—an invitation to slow down, savor, and connect. Reservations are highly recommended.
