These colored slips, not ink, are brushed on, dried and rolled into the clay slab, layering color and textures on the clay “matrix” to build rich designs. The permanent pigments are used to create brilliant colors and because the clay is inert, and pigments mixed with clay are light fast, the resulting prints reveal interesting color contrasts and nuances. Work with clay to create prints in a whole new way! No clay experience required.
