Safe Harbor executive director brings important message to Oxford community

ACE (Advocating, Collaborating, Educating) Anti-Human Trafficking Alliance of Oxford will host Jessica Chappell, the executive director of Safe Harbor, on Saturday, April 26. The meeting takes place at 9 a.m. at the Oxford Senior Center. Many in the Oxford community were introduced to Safe Harbor through the obituary of Victoria “Vicki” Nelson Neidigh, who supported and valued this organization.
Chappell will talk about the organization’s work transforming lives by providing shelter, support, and services to individuals experiencing homelessness in Chester County. Through trauma-informed care and holistic programming, Safe Harbor empowers residents to achieve stability, independence, and long-term success. Their mission is rooted in compassion, driven by community, and focused on the belief that everyone deserves a safe place to call home.
Knowing that homelessness makes a person more vulnerable to traffickers, this is a great opportunity for our community to learn more. The more we know, the better we can be at aiding those in need. The Oxford Senior Center is located at 12 E. Locust Street in Oxford. As always, refreshments will be served.
